Technopark Technology Business Incubator (T-TBI), a joint initiative of Technopark, Trivandrum and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, is avidly helping the technology business start-ups with all the necessary resources and supports they need to evolve and grow as a ripened business. T-TBI provide incubatees with necessary infrastructure support, technology/ prototype development support, research assistance, help in getting funding, business consulting assistance and do whatever is necessary to make the start-up a success.
The National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), established
in 1982 by the Government of India under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology, is an institutional mechanism to help promote knowledge driven and technology intensive enterprises. The Board, having representations from socio-economic and scientific Ministries/Departments, aims to convert "job-seekers" into "job-generators" through Science & Technology (S&T) interventions.
DSIR
The "Technopreneur Promotion Programme" (TePP) was launched in 1998-99 by the Ministry of Science and
Technology, converted into a network program in 2006 with several out reach centers and evolved into India’s first Open Innovation Network in 2009. TePP is operated by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) to tap the vast innovative potential of Creative Indians , bring out innovations to Bottom-Of-Pyramid (BOP) market and strengthen National Innovation system.
