| NCIIE –Training Programmes |
| (National Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship) |
| The NCIIE is a learning platform for the innovators and entrepreneurs. NCIIE was established during 2005 in association with EDII, Ahmedabad and IIITM Kerala as partnering Institutions with Technopark. Entrepreneurship development programmes are organised by NCIIE annually for educating the Innovators, Engineering students as well as Engineering College faculty. Two training programmes have been organised during 2005-06, one was exclusively for the Government engineering college faculty as a Residential programme for 10 days and another was organised in Technopark for the Engineering College students. Both these programmes were self supporting and the major sponsor was Technopark. |
| TechTop – product design and prototype development Contest: (www.techtop.in ) |
| Technopark is organising a product Innovation and Prototype development contest named TechTop annually. Last year the TechTop 2007 was and organized at Technopark and about 100 Engineering colleges from around the country have participated in the contest. Out of this 15 Engineering Colleges from different parts of the country were short listed to make their presentations and demonstrations to the Award Committee in Technopark. TechTop is an Innovators contest in which all the Engineering colleges in India can participate. This is organised in association with Degree Controls, IEEE Kerala Section and Executive Knowledge Lines, a technical monthly published from Trivandrum. All the successful participants in the contest are offered incubation space to commercialize their products. Their proposals would be forwarded to DSIR for funding under the TePP. This year the TechTop 2008 will be organised on 18th & 19th August 2008. The 1st prize of Rs.1, 00,000/- was won by KONGU ENGINEERING COLLEGE, PERUNDURAI in the year 2007. TechTop is a very innovative programme by which TTBI is able to get more and more incubatees right from the colleges. |
