Radhakrishnan Nair, CEO Technopark and Sri K.C.Chandrasekharan Nair, on behalf of Technopark received the National Award for the best Technology Business Incubator in the country for the year 2007 instituted by the Department of Science & Technology of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India . Shri.K.C.C Nair is also the Secretary cum Registrar of Technopark TBI( T-TBI). |
| He pointed out that “Technopark, through the Technology Business Incubation initiatives, is creating an ecosystem and a fertile ground that promotes the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. We are proud of the fact that we have incubated more than 70 start up technology Cos in our incubation facilities in the past 4 years with a success rate of over 90%. The award is a great recognition for our pioneering efforts in bringing knowledge driven Industries to Kerala by spurring entrepreneurial spirit amongst our technocrats and a motivation for us attempt bigger things.”

| Mr. K.C. Chandrasekharan Nair, said that now Technopark is in the process of spreading the Entrepreneurship spirit in the state by establishing Entrepreneurship Development Cells across the Engg Colleges in the state.The major objective of forming the EDC is to promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the campus. Another objective is to exploit and effectively convert the skills and expertise within the institute to create entrepreneurial ventures. He pointed out that Technopark, through the Technology Business Incubation initiatives, is creating an ecosystem and a fertile ground that promotes the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship through out the state. He also pointed out the Relevance of Engineering Colleges acting as Regional Information Centers in their area thereby guiding the students as well as the local Innovators promoting indigenous technology development, encouraging Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the region thereby spotting local start up companies for the upcoming District Knowledge Parks. |
