Technopark Technology Commercialization Facilitation Agency (T-TCFA)

Technopark TBI has been recognized and selected as a Technology Commercialization Facilitation Agency (TCFA) by TIFAC, Government of India. The recognition as a TCFA further strengthens Technopark's standing and reputation as enabler for new businesses. Over the years Technopark through its TePP Outreach Centre (T-TUC) has been instrumental in helping the innovators not only to develop their prototypes but also to go to the commercial phase, thus to become Technopreneurs.

The TCFA works as a facilitation centre for effective Technology Transfers. Most of the good innovators lack the necessary skills needed to become a good businessman. The TCFA anticipates bridging this gap by finding out the appropriate buyers for the indigenously developed new technologies to commercial world and facilitating technology transfer. Technology Transfer refers to the formal licensing of technology to third parties, under the guidance of professionals employed by universities, research foundations and businesses. Technopark TBI aims to scout innovative technologies for transfer through its existing network. The centre has a system in place for early assessment of a technology's marketability as well as posses the required financial, marketing and operational skills to link it to the market.
